Black Sheep Portola Valley Demonstration

The Black Sheep Handweavers' Guild demonstrated in a sheep-to-shawl event at Portola Valley Ranch in 1985. 200 city kids participated, they watched the shearing and helped members of the guild wash, dye, card, spin and weave the wool into a shawl. The event was reported in the San Jose Mercury News on Wednesday June 12, 1985, sec.1C p.6. Here are some pictures.
